Who we fund
We want to fund as many adoptive families as we can. If you meet these conditions, you can apply for a grant.

You live in England or Wales

You have an adopted child, or one with a SGO, in your household who is 21 years old or younger
You can provide proof of Adoption/Special Guardianship (Adoption Certificate or Special Guardianship Order)

You have a clearly identified need
Please note: Grants will be paid directly to the therapist or organisation providing the support. The Charity does NOT give money to individual applicants and AME cannot be held responsible for the outcomes of any interventions.

You have not received a grant from AME within the last 12 months
What we fund
We typically award grants between £1,000 - £3,000. We have put together a list of support, resources and equipment that would be eligible for a grant. This is not exhaustive and, whilst we can’t guarantee anything, we are open to other suggestions so even if your requirement is not on the list, please apply anyway.
